The nonprofit North American Carbon Capture & Storage Association (NACCSA) supports the development of a carbon dioxide capture use and storage industry (known as carbon capture use and storage or “CCUS”) in the United States and Canada. The members of the association include companies involved in developing commercial processes that seek to mitigate atmospheric emissions through carbon capture use and storage, and specialists engaged in the technical, commercial, financial and developmental aspects of CCUS activities in both the U.S. and Canada.
The primary purposes of NACCSA are to:
- Educate policymakers and the public about the CCUS industry;
- Encourage and support business interests and developments in the area;
- Inform our members about policy, legal, regulatory and technical developments
related to CCUS through information sharing and analysis; and
- Advocate for CCUS policy that incorporates a comprehensive business perspective.
